Procedure
A non-refundable application fee of $50.00 must accompany all applications (including those for siblings). Children must be at least 2 years, 9 months old to enter into our program. BHMS is a three-year, progressive program. Therefore, applicants aged 2 years and 9 months through 4 years are given preference. Families must make an appointment to tour the school grounds and spend time observing a classroom 'in action'. After observing the class if you feel that BHMS is a potential good fit for your child, the next step in the process is to have your child come in to have an interview with BHMS staff to determine if a Montessori program is an appropriate placement for the child. All enrollment decisions are made in the best interest of each individual child.
Siblings
BHMS recognizes the important developmental benefits that arise as a result of having siblings attend the same school. Therefore, siblings of currently enrolled students are generally given priority placement; however, they must be interviewed before being offered a place in the school. If, upon interviewing the child, it is determined that a Montessori Program is not appropriate for a particular child, that sibling will not be offered a place in the school. If two or more siblings are enrolled concurrently, a sibling discount will be applied. Please speak with the Head of School for more details.
