Enrichment Programs - Flexible Enrollment Offerings for Annual, Monthly or "Drop-In"
Our Enrichment and Extended Day Enrichment program is the perfect compliment to the Morning and Full Day Montessori Sessions for students enrolled in our Children's House program.
Children may stay from 12-2pm, 12-3pm, 12-4pm (3-4pm for Kdg), 12-5pm (3-5pm for Kdg), or 12-6pm (3-6pm for third year students), from one to five days per week.
This is a very flexible program as families may sign up a couple of days here and there (as space permits), a month at a time, or for the whole academic year (priority is given to 5 day per week, full day children). Families may also change their schedule month to month as needed (and as space permits). In addtion, we understand that sometimes last minute plans happen, so we also offer a "drop-in" service. Tuition rates vary depending on usage, but range from approximately $9-16/hr.
Our Enrichment program offers children a balance of group time, individual free-play, quiet time, one on one time with a teacher, and outdoor play. The Faculty prepares a curriculum responsive to the children’s thoughts, feelings and interests. Typical activities and projects include working with a variety of different art mediums, science experiments, cooking, group story/poem time, and one on one reading time with a teacher or friend. After a morning of individual work, the Enrichment program offers a more relaxed environment where children have the opportunity to engage in small and large group activities. This offers children a time to develop and strengthen their social/emotional skills. Children learn how to use their words, negotiate conflicts and problem solve.
