Assistant Teacher, Toddler House

 

Hours: The anticipated schedule for the position is Monday - Friday, from 7:30am-3:00pm; academic year. Position expected to start Aug. 2019, or sooner.

 

Description: The Blue Hill Montessori School is seeking a candidate to work as an Assistant Teacher in our Toddler House, beginning in the upcoming academic year, September 2019. The Assistant Teacher is a guide who helps direct the children’s activities academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, in a prepared Montessori or child-care environment, one that challenges each child to reach his or her fullest potential in these developmental areas in accordance with Montessori philosophy.

 

Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be DEEC (Dept. of Early Education & Care) Teacher certified to work with toddler aged children. A Bachelor's degree in the field of early childhood education, Montessori certification preferred. Must have a minimum of two years experience working in an early childhood classroom setting, and exhibit knowledge of and respect for Montessori philosophy and practices.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

 

Hours: This part-time position schedule is on-call/as-needed (some time periods may be known in advance, including short-term leave coverage expected in May 2019) Monday through Friday, from 7:30am-6:00pm. 

 

Description: The substitute teacher is a guide who helps direct the children’s activities academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically in a prepared Montessori child-care environment, one that challenges each child to reach his or her fullest potential and development, in accordance with Montessori philosophy.

 

Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be DEEC (Dept. of Early Education & Care) Teacher certified to work with toddler aged children.
