Application Process

We welcome your interest in our School!

The best way to decide if Blue Hill is the right school for your child is to observe Montessori education in action. Make an appointment to visit our school.  Please contact us at (781) 828- 5230 and make an appointment to visit the school.

If you are interested in having your child attend the school, please complete and submit an application form, available here or through the school, along with a $50 non-refundable application fee.

Once an application is accepted, the Head of School will contact prospective families to arrange an informal interview. This involves you, your child, BHMS's Head of School and another teacher.

Time Table for Admissions

To ensure placement for your child in our program, we suggest submitting your application between January and March. At times, there are places available in our programs after March, but they are typically limited to Afternoon Montessori Classes.

Once your application has been received, you will be contacted by the school to set up an interview with you and your child. The interviews are typically scheduled from March through August, depending on availability. Interviews are scheduled on Wednesdays from 2:45-3:15, although exceptions can be made for families with scheduling conflicts.

Once your child has been accepted into the program, a $500 place holding fee and $75 bond deposit is due within 2 weeks of acceptance to hold your place for next year. The first payment for the next school year is due on the second Friday in June.
